Default Shoulder pain w shoulder press/dumbbell flys

    Hi,

Ive just changed my routine this week and have introduced dumbbell shoulder press and dumbbell flys. When I did shoulder press earlier this week I had problem on my last set where the top of right arm/shoulder hurts and I am unable to keep the dumbell up. I then tried dumbbell flys today and experienced the same pain at the top of the motion i.e when my arms are going up in the air with the dumbbells.

Any advice on this would be very much appreciated - never had any problems with my shoulder before at all and have not had the problem with any other exercises.

PS I dropped down the weight on both exercises when I felt the pain and everything was ok so bit unsure whats happened.

    Thanks

    Rob

Did you thoroughly warm up and stretch the shoulders, including internal rotators, triceps and chest before doing the workout

I did warm up but didnt do any stretches of the shoulder - could this be the problem??

Ill certainly be stretching them before my next workout!
